Because Women Deserve to Feel Safe
If you or someone you know is struggling with abuse, our support is just a click away
The Stop Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee (StopVAW) collaborates to educate & inform Perth County about available services, with a mission to end violence against women.
We recognize that experiences of violence and abuse are often rooted in systems of oppression and shaped by diverse experiences. With this understanding, StopVAW is dedicated to advocating for education that addresses all forms of abuse in our community.
→ To provide education to the community in order to prevent violence against women
→ To share service information, resources, & statistics & increase understanding of the complex dynamics of violence against women
→ To collaborate with other organizations to help ensure that women have up-to-date resources & information about legal, social & medical systems
→ To identify & address gaps in service & trends in service provision
Our Goals
Membership is open to organizations dedicated to addressing violence against women.
The committee meets monthly and actively participates in various national, international, and local projects & events to raise awareness and provide the community with resources aimed at ending violence against women.

Domestic Violence Training Video: Survivor Stories
Survivors of domestic violence in Perth County collaborated with StopVAW and local film makers to create and produce a training video that addresses domestic violence for all to watch and learn from.
